Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion (EMHC)

An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) are men and women who have been duly educated and trained through a program offered by the Diocese of Bridgeport for service to the Sacrament of the Altar. These Eucharistic Ministers assist the priest and the deacon with the distribution of Holy Communion, particularly at large Masses in which the number of participants is so great.
