"There is nothing so great as the Eucharist. If God had something more precious,
He would have given it to us." ~ St. John Vianney
On the eve of His Passion, Jesus gathered with His disciples to celebrate the Passover Feast, wherein He offered to them His own Body and Blood sacramentally in the Eucharist. This Holy Sacrament was given to us out of love by Christ for our enrichment, our nourishment, and our continued growth in His own life so that becoming so much like Christ we might like St. Paul we may joyfully exclaim, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me!”1 The reception of Holy Communion is the next major moment in the child’s life of faith, in which they receive Christ and learn to imitate Him in receiving His grace.
The First Communion Program occurs alongside the 3rd Grade Faith Formation classes and consists of parent & child meetings, workshops, liturgical celebrations, all towards your child’s preparation and reception of their first Holy Communion.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the faith formation office.
